This is another one of those great songs that flew under the radar. I was checking out some of their stuff on youtube and I really like their live performances.
Seven sins of wantonness and
everything that's good is gone
Sell it all for glory from the peers
Silicone priestess scratch the back and
twists the knife to bone
Kick against the pricks and scrape the shins
I'm the enemy in the enemies now
Swallowed the pill
Drank to the fill
All these things I carry now
In this bittersweet, in this bittersweet now
Try to hold the wrold there sinking,
swimming in a paper cup
Try to own the one beneath the skin
Held up to the flame 'till singeing
skin begins to draw and tuck
Never told there's a chance to win
What couldn't be, wouldn't be now
Swallowed the pill
Drank to the fill
All these things I carry now
In this bittersweet, in this bittersweet now
Hold your hands up to the sky and try
so hard to rise above
But everything is beating down
Swallowed the pill
Drank to the fill
All these things I carry now
In this bittersweet, in this bittersweet now

Robert Palmer "Addicted To Love"
I don't know about you guys, but I got hooked on a lot of stuff from the 80's. Even though the video girls look kind of disturbing to me, all alike as they are, they still exude a sex appeal that works. To bad they can't even pretend to play the instruments...
THE LIGHTS ARE ON BUT YOU'RE NOT HOME
YOUR MIND IS NOT YOUR OWN
YOUR BODY SWEATS YOUR BODY SHAKES
ANOTHER KISS IS WHAT IT TAKES
YOU CAN'T EAT YOU CAN'T SLEEP
THERE'S NO DOUBT YOU'RE IN DEEP
YOUR THROAT IS TIGHT YOU CAN'T BREATHE
ANOTHER KISS IS ALL YOU NEED
OH YOU LIKE TO THINK THAT YOU'RE IMMUNE TO THE STUFF OH YEAH
IT'S CLOSER TO THE TRUTH
YOU KNOW YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO FACE IT
YOU'RE ADDICTED TO LOVE
YOU MIGHT AS WELL FACE IT YOU'RE ADDICTED TO LOVE
YOU SEE THE SIGNS BUT YOU CAN'T READ
YOU'RE RUNNING AT A DIFFERENT SPEED
YOUR HEART BEATS AT DOUBLE TIME
ANOTHER KISS AND YOU'LL BE MIND ONE TRACK MIND
YOU CAN'T BE SAVED ANOTHER YOUNG LOVE IS ALL YOU CRAVE
AND IF THE SUN LEFT YOU YOU DON'T MIND IT FEELS BLUE
OH YOU LIKE TO THINK THAT YOU'RE IMMUNE TO THE STUFF OH YEAH
IT'S CLOSER TO THE TRUTH
YOU KNOW YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO FACE IT
YOU'RE ADDICTED TO LOVE
GONNA HAVE TO FACE IT YOU'RE ADDICTED TO LOVE
MIGHT AS WELL FACE IT YOU'RE ADDICTED TO LOVE [4]
MIGHT AS WELL FACE IT [3]
MIGHT AS WELL FACE IT YOU'RE ADDICTED TO LOVE
YOUR LIGHTS ARE ON BUT YOU'RE NOT HOME
YOUR MIND IS NOT YOUR OWN
YOUR BODY SWEATS YOUR BODY SHAKES
ANOTHER KISS IS WHAT IT TAKES
YOU CAN'T EAT YOU CAN'T SLEEP
THERE'S NO DOUBT YOU'RE IN DEEP
YOUR THROAT IS TIGHT YOU CAN'T BREATHE
ANOTHER KISS IS ALL YOU NEED
OH YOU LIKE TO THINK THAT YOU'RE IMMUNE
TO THE STUFF OH YEAH
IT'S CLOSER TO THE TRUTH
YOU KNOW YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO FACE IT
YOU MIGHT AS WELL FACE IT
YOU'RE ADDICTED TO LOVE
YOU MIGHT AS WELL FACE IT YOU'RE ADDICTED TO LOVE

MIGHT AS WELL FACE IT [4]

Stone Temple Pilots "Plush"
The song that put STP on the map and probably put Scott Weiland on the road to increased drug use.
And I feel that time's a wasted go
So where ya going to tomorrow?
And I see that these are lies to come
Would you even care?
And I feel it
And I feel it
Where ya going for tomorrow?
Where ya going with that mask I found?
And I feel, and I feel
When the dogs begin to smell her
Will she smell alone?
And I feel, so much depends on the weather
So is it raining in your bedroom?
And I see, that these are the eyes of disarray
Would you even care?
And I feel it
And she feels it
Where ya going to tomorrow?
Where ya going with that mask I found?
And I feel, and I feel
When the dogs begin to smell her
Will she smell alone?
When the dogs do find her
Got time, time, to wait for tomorrow
To find it, to find it, to find it
When the dogs do find her
Got time, time, to wait for tomorrow
To find it, to find it, to find it
To find it
To find it
To find it

Linkin Park "Numb"
There is just so much great music by these guys. This is actually a pretty good live version. And the lyrics are really good.
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless, lost under the surface
Don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
[Chorus:]
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there
Become so tired, so much more aware
I'm becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you
Can't you see that you're smothering me,
Holding too tightly, afraid to lose control?
'Cause everything that you thought I would be
Has fallen apart right in front of you.
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you.
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
And every second I waste is more than I can take.
[Chorus:]
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there,
Become so tired, so much more aware
I'm becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you.
And I know
I may end up failing too.
But I know
You were just like me with someone disappointed in you.
[Chorus:]
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there,
Become so tired, so much more aware.
I'm becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you.
[Chorus:]
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there.
(I'm tired of being what you want me to be)
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there.
(I'm tired of being what you want me to be)

Men Without Hats "Safety Dance"
Yes, you read that title right. I love this song, it was simple, had this great hook and something about his voice, its just cool.
Yes, its on my ipod too.
We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're, no friends of mine
Say, we can go where we want to
A place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance, "dansez"
We can go when we want to
Night is young and so am I
And we can dress real neat from our hats to our feet
And surprise them with a victory cry
Say, we can act if we want to
If we don't nobody will
And you can act real rude and totally removed
And I can act like an imbecile
And say
We can dance, we can dance
Everything's out of control
We can dance, we can dance
We're doing it from pole to pole
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody look at your hands
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody's taking the chance
its a Safety dance
Oh well its safe to dance
Yes it safe to dance
We can dance if we want to
We've got all your life and mine
As long as we abuse it, never going to lose it
Everything will work out right
I say, We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance, and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine
I say, we can dance, we can dance
Everything's out of control
We can dance, we can dance
We're doing it from pole to pole
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody look at your hands
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody's taking the chance
Well it's safe to dance
Yes it's safe to dance
Well it's safe to dance
Well it's safe to dance
Yes it's safe to dance
Well it's safe to dance
Well it's safe to dance
It's a Safety Dance
Well it's a Safety Dance
Oh it's a Safety Dance
Oh it's a Safety Dance
Well it's a Safety Dance

Denis Leary "Asshole"
This is a great song for a Monday.
Folks, I'd like to sing a song about the American dream.
About me, about you, about the way our American hearts beat way down in the bottom of our chests. About the special feeling we get in the cockles of our hearts, maybe below the cockles, maybe in the sub-cockle area, maybe in the liver, maybe in the kidneys, maybe even in the colon. We don't know…
(SUNG)
I'm just a regular Joe with a regular job.
I'm your average white suburbanite slob.
I like football and porno and books about war.
I've got an average house with a nice hardwood floor.
My wife and my job, my kids and my car.
My feet on my table and a Cuban cigar.
But sometimes that just ain't enough to keep a man like me interested (oh no) no way (uh-uh). No, I've gotta go out and have fun at someone else's expense.
(oh yeah) yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah.
I drive really slow in the ultra-fast lane,
While people behind me are going insane.
I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, what an asshole)
I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, such an asshole)
I use public toilets and piss on the seat,
I walk around in the summertime saying "How about this heat?"
I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, what an asshole)
I'm an asshole (He's the world's biggest asshole)
Sometimes I park in handicapped spaces,
While handicapped people make handicapped faces.
I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, what an asshole)
I'm an asshole (He's a real fucking asshole)
Maybe I shouldn't be singing this song
Ranting and raving and carrying on
Maybe they're right when they tell me I'm wrong…
NAAAAH!
I'm an asshole (he's an asshole, what an asshole)
I'm an asshole (he's the world's biggest asshole)
(SPOKEN)
You know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna get myself a 1967 Cadillac Eldorado convertible, hot pink, with whale skin hubcaps and all leather cow interior and big brown baby seal eyes for headlights. Yeah! And I'm gonna drive around in that baby at 115 miles an hour, getting 1 mile per gallon, sucking down quarter pounder cheeseburgers from McDonald's in the old-fashioned non- biodegradable Styrofoam containers! And when I'm done suckin' down those grease ball burgers I'm gonna wipe my mouth on the American flag and then toss the Styrofoam containers right out the side, and there ain't a God-damned thing anybody can do about it. You know why? Because we got the bombs, that's why!
Two words--nuclear fucking weapons, OK? Russia, Germany, Romania - they can have all the democracy they want. They can have a democracy cakewalk right through the middle of Tiananmen Square and it won't make a lick of difference, because we’ve got the bombs, OK? John Wayne's not dead - he's frozen! And when we find a cure for cancer, we're gonna thaw out the Duke and he's gonna be pretty pissed off. You know why? You ever taken a cold shower? Well, multiply that by 15 million times. That's how pissed off the Duke's gonna be.
I'm gonna get the Duke and John Cassavetes and Lee Marvin (Hey) and Sam Peckinpah (Hey) and a case of whisky (Hey) and drive down to Texas… (Hey, Hey, Hey)
(Hey you know you really are an asshole)
Why don’t you just shut up and sing this song pal.
I'm an asshole (He’s an asshole, what an asshole)
I'm an asshole (He’s an asshole, what an asshole)
A – S – S - H - O – L – E.
Everybody, A – S – S - H - O – L – E.
Arf Arf Arf Arf Arf Arf Arf
Fung Achng Tum Chng Fum Afung Fung Ooh
(SPOKEN)
I'm an asshole and I'm proud of it!

LL Cool J "Mama Said Knock You Out"
Some old school rap...
LL always had good stuff going.
And with the local DBT news, LL Cool J with a triumphant comeback
[mumbling]
but tonite...
[LL]
Don't call it a comeback
I been here for years
Rockin my peers and puttin suckas in fear
Makin the tears rain down like a MON-soon
Listen to the bass go BOOM
Explosion, overpowerin
Over the competition, I'm towerin
Wreckin shop, when I drop these lyrics that'll make you call the cops
Don't you dare stare, you betta move
Don't ever compare
Me to the rest that'll all get sliced and diced
Competition's payin the price
[Chorus:]
I'm gonna knock you out (HUUUH!!!)
Mama said knock you out (HUUUH!!!)
[REPEAT 4X]
Don't u call this a regular jam
I'm gonna rock this land
I'm gonna take this itty bitty world by storm
And I'm just gettin warm
Just like Muhummad Ali they called him Cassius
Watch me bash this beat like a skull
Cuz u know I had beef wit
Why do u riff with me, the maniac psycho
And when I pull out my jammy get ready cuz it might go
BLAAAAW, how ya like me now?
The river will not allow
U to get with, Mr. Smith, dont riff
Listen to my gear shift
I'm blastin, outlastin
Kinda like Shaft, so u could say I'm shaftin
Old English filled my mind
And I came up with a funky rhyme
[Chorus]
[LL]
Breakdown!!!
Shadow boxin when I heard you on the radio (HUUUH!!!)
I just don't know
What made you forget that I was raw?
But now I got a new tour
I'm goin insane, startin the hurricane, releasin pain
Lettin you know that you can't gain, I maintain
Unless ya say my name
Rippin, killin
Diggin and drillin a hole
Pass the Ol' Gold
[Chorus]
Shotgun blasts are heard
When I rip and kill, at WILL
The man of the hour, tower of power, I'll devour
I'm gonna tie you up and let you understand
that I'm not your average man
when I got a jammy in my hand
DAAAAAM!!!!! Oooooohh!!
Listen to the way I slaaaaay, your crew
Damage (UHH) damage (UHH) damage (UHH) damage
Destruction, terror, and mayhem
Pass me a sissy so suckas I'll slay him
Farmers (What!!!) Farmers (What!!!)
I'm ready (we're ready!!!)
I think I'm gonna bomb a town (get down!!)
Don't u neva, eva, pull my lever
Cuz I explode
And my nine is easy to load
I gotta thank God
Cuz he gave me the strength to rock
HARD!! knock you out, mama said knock you out

Ugly Kid Joe "Everything About You"
Taking you back to the early 90's for this one. Always a good angry song.
Are you the guys on the beach who hate everything? eww
Is this some sort of hip music that I don't understand?
I, hate the rain and sunny weather,
and I, I hate the beach and mountains too, boo-hoo,
And I don't like a thing about the city, no, no,
and I, I, I, hate the countryside too!
And I, hate everything about you!
everything about you!
And I, don't like a thing about your mother,
and I, I hate your daddy's guts too, boo-hoo,
And I don't like a thing about your sister, no, no
'cause I, I, I, think sex is overrated too.
And I, get sick when I'm around,
I, can't stand to be around,
I, hate everything about you!
Everything about you, everything about you, everything about you!
Some say I've got a bad attitude,
but that don't change the way I feel about you,
and if you think this might be bringing me down,
look again 'cause I ain't wearing no frown!
Get Down!
I don't really care about you're sister,
Fuck the little bitch 'cause I already kissed her,
One thing that I did to your old lady,
Was I put her on the bed and she didn't say maybe.
I know, you know, everybody knows,
the way it comes is the way its gonna go
Think its sad well thats too bad
cuz im having a ball hate'in every little thing about you!
Everything about you, everything about...
I, get sick when I'm around...
I, can't stand to be around...
I, hate everything about... you! Haha...

Aerosmith/RUN DMC "Walk This Way"
This is such a great song. I love the attitude in this video by both sides.
backstroke lover always hidin' 'neath the covers
till I talked to your daddy, he say
he said "you ain't seen nothin' till you're down on a muffin
then you're sure to be a-changin' your ways"
I met a cheerleader, was a real young bleeder
oh, the times I could reminisce
'cause the best things of lovin' with her sister and her cousin
only started with a little kiss
like this!
seesaw swingin' with the boys in the school
and your feet flyin' up in the air
singin' "hey diddle diddle"
with your kitty in the middle of the swing
like you didn't care
so I took a big chance at the high school dance
with a missy who was ready to play
wasn't me she was foolin'
'cause she knew what she was doin'
and I knowed love was here to stay
when she told me to
walk this way, walk this way
walk this way, walk this way
walk this way, walk this way
walk this way, walk this way
just gimme a kiss
like this!
schoolgirl sweetie with a classy kinda sassy
little skirt's climbin' way up the knee
there was three young ladies in the school gym locker
when I noticed they was lookin' at me
I was a high school loser, never made it with a lady
till the boys told me somethin' I missed
then my next door neighbor with a daughter had a favor
so I gave her just a little kiss
like this!
seesaw swingin' with the boys in the school
and your feet flyin' up in the air
singin' "hey diddle diddle"
with your kitty in the middle of the swing
like you didn't care
so I took a big chance at the high school dance
with a missy who was ready to play
wasn't me she was foolin'
'cause she knew what she was doin'
when she told me how to walk this way, she told me to
walk this way, talk this way
walk this way, walk this way
walk this way, walk this way
walk this way, talk this way
just gimme a kiss
like this!

The Rolling Stones "Paint it Black"
One of my favorite Stones songs, though I do have many.
I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love, both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a newborn baby it just happens ev'ryday
No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue
I could not forsee this thing happening to you
If I look hard enough into the setting sun
My love will laugh with me before the morning comes
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door and it has been painted black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black
I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
Hmm, hmm, hmm...
I wanna see it painted black, painted black
Black as night, black as coal
I wanna see the sun, blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black
Yeah
Hmm, hmm, hmm...

Sixx A.M. "Lies of the Beautiful People"
This is a newer release by Sixx A.M. that I really like.
Well this ain't no sideshow
This is the great unknown
This is the poison we take
Yeah
Outside the velvet rope
Standing there all alone
Are the grotesque and ashamed
Yeah
Well if you think real beauty's on the outside
Well that's a far cry
From the truth
Maybe all the information you received
Well you should not believe
There's no proof
Save yourself from all the lies of the beautiful people
It's time to run from the lies of the beautiful people
I feel so traumatized
Doped up and televised
Life can be cruel and insane
Yeah
But we've got these ugly scars
On our infected hearts
Maybe it's time for a change
Yeah
And if you think real beauty's on the outside
Well that's a far cry
From the truth
Maybe all the information you received
Well you should not believe
There's no proof
Save yourself from all the lies of the beautiful people
It's time to run from the lies of the beautiful people
Save yourself from all the lies of the beautiful people
Just run and hide from the lies of the beautiful
Save yourself from all the lies of the beautiful people
It's time to run from the lies of the beautiful people

Alien Ant Farm "Smooth Criminal"
This was a great remake when it came out. I often wondered what Jackson must have thought of it, he must have given approval for the rights to use it.
As he came into the window
Was a sound of a crescendo
He came into her apartment
He left the bloodstains on the carpet
She was sitting at the table
He could see she was unable
So she ran into the bedroom
She was struck down
It was her doom
Annie, are you OK
Are you OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
You OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
Will you tell us that you’re OK
There’s a sign at the window
That he struck you
A crescendo, Annie
He came into your apartment
He left the bloodstains on the carpet
Then you ran into the bedroom
You were struck down
It was your doom
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
You’ve been hit by
You’ve been struck by
A smooth criminal
So they came into the outway
It was Sunday
What a black day
I could feel your salutation
Sounding heartbeats
Intimidations
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
Will you tell us that you’re OK
There’s a sign at the window
That he struck you
A crescendo, Annie
He came into your apartment
He left the bloodstains on the carpet
Then you ran into the bedroom
You were struck down
It was your doom
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
You’ve been hit by
You’ve been struck by
A smooth criminal
Annie, are you OK
Will you tell us that you’re OK
There’s a sign at the window
That he struck you
A crescendo, Annie
He came into your apartment
He left the bloodstains on the carpet
Then you ran into the bedroom
You were struck down
It was your doom
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie

Local H "Bound For The Floor"
I always liked the tempo to this song, I never knew who did it until it popped up on Slacker radio the other day.
Born to be down
I've learned all my lessons before now
Born to be down
I think you'll get used to it
And you just don't get it
You keep your copesetic
And you learn to accept it
You know you're so pathetic *
And you don't.... *
Born to be down
Think that I've said this before now
Born to be down
What good is confidence?
And you just don't get it
You keep your copesetic
And you learn to accept it
You know you're so pathetic *
And you don't.... *

Bjork "Human Behavior"
I remember the first time I heard this, thinking, what the hell is this. The more I listened to it, the more its grown on me, the funky back beat, her cracking voice, just really cool. The video is pretty cool too.
If you ever get close to a human
and human behaviour
be ready to get confused
there's definitely no logic
to human behaviour
but yet so irresistible
there is no map
to human behaviour
they're terribly moody
then all of a sudden turn happy
but, oh, to get involved in the exchange
of human emotions is ever so satisfying
there's no map and
a compass
wouldn't help at all
human behaviour

Don Henley "The Boys Of Summer"
There's just something about this song that I've always liked.
Nobody on the road
nobody on the beach
I feel it in the air
the summer's out of reach
Empty lake, empty streets,
the sun goes down alone
I'm drivin' by your house
Though I know you're not home
I can see you
Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got your hair combed back and your
sunglasses on, baby
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
after the boys of summer have gone
I never will forget those nights
I wonder if it was a dream
Remember how you made me crazy?
Remember how I made you scream?
Now I don't understand
what's happened to our love,
But babe I'm gonna get you back
I'm gonna show you what I'm made of
I can see you
Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
I see you walkin' real slow and you're
smilin' at everyone
I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
after the boys of summer have gone
Out on the road today
I saw a deadhead sticker on a Cadillac
A little voice inside my head said,
"Don't look back. You can never look back."
I thought I knew what love was,
what did I know?
Those days are gone forever
I should just let them go but
I can see you
Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got that top pulled down and that
radio on baby
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
after the boys of summer have gone
I can see you
Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got that hair slicked back and those
wayfarers on, baby
I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
after the boys of summer have gone

Eric Clapton "Bad Love"
This man should never be without a strat in his hands. I'm not so sure I care for the stash he's sporting in this video though.
Oh what a feeling I get when I'm with you
You take my heart into everything you do
And it makes me sad for the lonely people
I walked that road for so long
Now I know that I'm one of the lucky people
Your love is making me strong
I've had enough bad love
I need something I can be proud of
I've had enough bad love
No more bad love
And now I see that my life has been so blue
With all the heartaches I had till I met you
But I'm glad to say now that's all behind me
With you here by my side
And there's no more memories to remind me
Your love will keep me alive

Cinderella "Don't Know What You Got (Till Its Gone)"
Ahhh yes, a power ballad yet again. This is a great tune that stands the test of time. I've always appreciated their mix of blues, rock, and Tom's raspy voice.
I can't tell ya baby what went wrong
I can't make you feel what you felt so long ago
I'll let it show
I can't give you back what's been hurt
Heartaches come and go and all that's left are the words
I can't let go
If we take some time to think it over baby
Take some time, let me know
If you really want to go
Don't know what you got till it's gone
Don't know what it is I did so wrong
Now I know what I got
It's just this song
And it ain't easy to get back
Takes so long
I can't feel the things that cause you pain
I can't clear my heart of your love it falls like rain
Ain't the same
I hear you calling far away
Tearing through my soul I just can't take another day
Who's to blame
If we take some time to think it over baby
Take some time let me know
If you really wanna go
Don't know what you got till it's gone
Don't know what it is I did so wrong
Now I know what I got
It's just this song
And it ain't easy to get back
Takes so long
Do you wanna see me beggin' baby
Can't you give me just one more day
Can't you see my heart's been draggin' lately
I've been lookin' for the words to say
Don't know what you got till it's gone
Don't know what it is I did so wrong
Now I know what I got
It's just this song
And it ain't easy to get back
Takes so long
Don't know what you got till it's gone no
Don't know what it is I did so wrong
Now I know what I got
It's just this song
And it ain't easy to get back
Takes so long

Faith No More "Midlife Crisis"
I've always just loved the music these guys put out, the funk rock mix and Mike's vocals always make for good listening.
Go on and wring my neck
Like when a rag gets wet
A little discipline
For my pet genius
My head is like lettuce
Go on dig your thumbs in
I cannot stop giving
I'm thirty-something
Sense of security
Like pockets jingling
Midlife crisis
Suck ingenuity
Down through the family tree
You're perfect, yes, it's true
But without me you're only you
Your menstruating heart
It ain't bleedin' enough for two
It's a midlife crisis...
What an inheritance
The salt and the kleenex
Morbid self attention
Bending my pinky back
A little discipline
A donor by habit
A little discipline
Rent an opinion
Sense of security
Holding blunt instrument
I'm a perfectionist
And perfect is a skinned knee
You're perfect, yes, it's true
But without me you're only you
Your menstruating heart
It ain't bleedin' enough for two
It's a midlife crisis...

'Til Tuesday "Voices Carry"
Remember this one, I love the simplicity of the song and her voice.
I'm in the dark, I'd like to read his mind
But I'm frightened of the things I might find
Oh, there must be something he's thinking of
To tear him away
When I tell him that I'm falling in love
Why does he say
Hush, hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush, hush, keep it down now, voices carry
I try so hard not to get upset
Because I know all the trouble I'll get
Oh, he tells me tears are something to hide
And something to fear
And I try so hard to keep it inside
So no one can hear
Hush, hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush, hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush, hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Oh, he wants me, but only part of the time
He wants me if he can keep me in line
Hush, hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush, hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Oh, hush, hush, shut up now, voices carry
Oh, hush, hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Oh, hush hush, darling, she might overhear
Oh no, voices carry
He said shut up
He said shut up
Oh God, can't you keep it down, voices carry
Oh, voices carry
I wish he would let me talk
